Riding Lessons at Ridge Creek Ranch
Have you ever wanted to try out horseback riding? Do you have any children wanting to ride a horse or pony? You don’t need to own your own horse or have previous riding experience – here at Ridge Creek Ranch we offer introductory Horsemanship and English lessons for beginner to intermediate. Not only will you learn how to ride, but you will also spend time with the horses learning how to care for and handle them. We have experience giving lessons to all ages and levels and adjust our lessons accordingly to each individual.
All students must wear a helmet (you may borrow one for the first few lessons if needed) and boots with a heel.
RIDING SCHOOL OPTIONS
Open to children ages 4 to 8 and their parents/guardians. Attend a 1 hour session with a riding instructor and learn the basics of grooming, tack-up and riding. Guided by a coach, parents can learn to lead their child on a pony through fun patterns, obstacles and games to help children (and their parents) learn the basics of riding and build their confidence around horses.
The Introduction to Horsemanship is designed for those people all ages over 8 who would like to learn how to ride! This is perfect for people new to riding and includes theory, safety, grooming, tack-up and riding time. These lessons have been specially designed to help people new to horses learn and build confidence. If learning to horseback ride is on your list of things to do and you want to improve your health and well being by learning then this is for you!
We offer intermediate English lessons for those who have already practiced the basics of riding and for riders who have progressed through our intro to horsemanship level.
